  • WaFd Community Meeting Space 5215 South 6th Street Klamath Falls, OR, 97603 United States (map)

Monthly KBAS Program Meeting

Social Time from 6:30 to 7:00pm. Meeting begins at 7:00pm.

Riley Spivey is a prescribed fire and fuels specialist at the Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge complex and will be joining us to speak about the history of the modern Fire Program on our local refuges.

Fire ecology is essential for maintaining healthy, biodiverse, and resilient ecosystems by facilitating nutrient recycling, reducing hazardous fuels and promoting new growth. Understanding how we can beneficially utilize fire on our landscapes will be important for future management of our public lands.
